Photo of Mount Katahdin and the West Branch of the Penobscot River. I was passing through and could not have had a better time for the taking of the picture. Fall foliage, calm, reflective waters. Just the right time with no wind ripples on the water. I only wish there had been a moose standing on the further shore. Taken the first week of October. Photo by William Tom Prue of Orono, Maine.
